What can I use a background remover for?

Do I need an account, an app, or editing experience?
No account or app is required to remove a background with your available daily free credits. The tool runs in your browser without manual tracing. Keep the same browser and its cookies to return to a guest result. Sign in for account task history or to use purchased credits.
Which image formats can I upload?
Upload one still JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB and 40 megapixels. Animated images are not supported.
Is the AI background remover free to use?
Background removal costs 4 credits per image. You can use your available daily free credits without signing up; the daily allowance is shared with other eligible tools. The cost is shown before confirmation, and failed jobs release reserved credits. Changing colors or composing a custom background afterward costs no extra credits.
Why does my transparent PNG look white or gray?
Some image viewers display transparent pixels against a white or gray canvas. The checkerboard in our preview represents transparency and is not part of the downloaded image. Keep the PNG format when saving: converting it to JPG replaces transparency with a solid background.
How can I get a cleaner cutout?
Choose a sharp, well-lit photo with a clearly visible subject and some contrast against its background. Blurry edges, fine hair, fur, glass, and overlapping subjects can be harder to separate. Inspect the result at a larger size; this page does not currently offer manual edge refinement.
Will every edge be perfect?
Results can vary with image quality, subject/background contrast, and fine details such as hair or transparent objects. Review the downloaded cutout before using it.
Can I replace the background with a color or another photo?
Yes. After removal, choose a preset or custom color, or upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP background image. The new background is composed locally in your browser, with custom photos centered and cropped to fill the canvas. Download the edited PNG or keep the original transparent PNG. Editing does not use additional credits; save the edited image before leaving the page.
Can I remove backgrounds from several photos at once?
This page processes one image per request. After downloading your result, choose “Remove another background” to start with a new photo. Each new request has its own credit cost; batch processing is not currently available here.
How is my image processed?
Your image is uploaded for AI processing when you confirm. Originals and results are stored for preview and download through account- or device-authorized routes.
